After you fill out the form or call us at 405-650-5654, we’ll talk with you about the ideas for your project. We’ll discuss the scope of your project and whether we’re a good fit for your needs. After that, we’ll schedule the consultation.
Free On-Site Consultation
Donnie will explore your site and chat with you about your vision for the space, identifying any challenges that may arise during the build. In this discussion, you’ll discuss a ballpark estimate for your project, which is why Donnie does not provide remote bids.
On-Site Sketch
You’ll be provided a drawing of your project before receiving your proposal. Additionally, you can request a 3D rendering of your project (for an additional fee).
Itemized Proposal
At this stage, you’ll receive a finalized proposal with every cost broken out. After signing and making a deposit payment, construction can start.
Build
Donnie and Foreman Laraka manage your project’s build.
Final Walkthrough & Handoff
Upon completion, Donnie will perform a walkthrough with you, explain your maintenance needs, and provide your warranty documentation.

Stamped concrete vs pavers – which is better?
Both work; the right choice depends on what you value. Stamped concrete is one continuous surface – no joints to weed, no settling pavers, easier to maintain. Pavers offer easier repairs (replace one, not the whole patio) but more long-term joint maintenance. ADC builds both and recommends based on your priorities.
How much does an outdoor kitchen cost in Oklahoma?
Outdoor kitchen pricing depends on scope. A built-in grill with countertop and basic storage starts in the $15-25K range. A full kitchen with concrete countertops, weather-rated cabinetry, prep space, integrated appliances, and finished surrounds runs $40-80K and up. ADC produces an itemized proposal at the free on-site consultation.
How long does outdoor living construction take?
Most outdoor living projects run 2-8 weeks depending on scope. A standalone stamped-concrete patio takes 2-3 weeks. A full backyard transformation with patio, kitchen, fire feature, and integrated retaining walls runs 6-8 weeks. ADC confirms the timeline at the consultation and updates it weekly during the build.
How often does stamped concrete need to be sealed?
Every 3-5 years to maintain color, water resistance, and surface durability. Resealing protects against UV fading, freeze-thaw cracking, and stain absorption. ADC walks every client through the sealing schedule at project handoff and can refer trusted concrete sealers in the OKC metro. Skipping the schedule shortens the patio’s lifespan significantly.
Gas vs wood fire pit – which is better in Oklahoma?
Both work. Gas is convenient, clean-burning, and instant on/off – no smoke management, no ash cleanup. Wood is the traditional experience – the smell, the crackling, the longer burn. Many ADC clients install both. Gas typically runs higher upfront because of the gas line; wood requires more burn-area clearance.
Can I add an outdoor living space to an existing retaining wall project?
Yes – and ADC routinely integrates the two. A patio that flows seamlessly into a retaining wall produces better drainage, cleaner sight lines, and a more cohesive design than tackling them as separate projects. We can phase the build if budget calls for it but produce one design from day one.
Will my patio crack?
Concrete moves with temperature — that is physical reality, not a defect. Properly designed patios use control joints to manage where cracking occurs. ADC patios crack only at the joints, where the cracks are invisible. Patios without control joints crack randomly. The control joint design is a craft detail, not an upcharge.
What’s the right patio size?
Patio size depends on how you use the space – furniture footprint, traffic patterns, intended use (dining, entertaining, lounging), and proportions to the house. ADC sizes patios at the free on-site consultation by walking through the property and the family’s usage patterns. Avoid the temptation to oversize – overscale patios feel disconnected.
